Hi there!
Since last update, (dunno if it's because of it or not) I have a new icon in the top left corner of the screen.
It doesn't really indicate anything when I drag the indication window down. Since both my daughter and friends have answeared and used the phone occationally I can't really tell what could have made this icon pop up.
Thankful for answears.

The rumors surrounding different Galaxy S4 variants have gotten stronger in the past couple of weeks and many of those rumors are starting to become more than just rumors. The S4 Active is a rugged variant of the standard Galaxy S4 which will be both water and dust resistant. The Rugged S4 variant will feature a 5-inch full HD display, quad-core processor as well as an 8 MP camera. Not bad for a rugged device. It is expected that it will be available in the US sometime in the coming weeks.
There wasnt much information as to which carriers it would be coming to but images from @eveleaks show that the Galaxy S4 Active may be coming to AT&T. Of course, nothing is for certain until officially announced by Samsung or AT&T. We can expect an official announcement on June 20th from Samsung event that will take place in London.

So it seems Samsung is trying to flood the market with different Galaxy S4 variants. The newest one to pop out from the rumor mill is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom which will have an emphasis on camera capabilities. With the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active as well as the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini already announced, the S4 Zoom will be bringing smart phone and camera features all into one device.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is rumored to resemble the Galaxy S4 Mini more in terms of design and specs. It is rumored that the Galaxy S4 Zoom will sports 16 megapixel camera for your entire picture needs. Sure, it still wont come anywhere close to the Galaxy Camera in terms of picture quality but no one expects it to. The S4 Zoom is a smart phone that will feature great optical features making it a very competitive cameraphone in the market.
Not sure how well all these different variants of the Galaxy S4 will do. Samsung is really trying to milk the industry at the moment and it seems like they can since not many other manufacturers are producing devices with specs that can compete. In terms of design, Samsung still needs to improve. There are many smart phones out there that look and feel better than the S4, such as the HTC One and the BlackBerry Z10, but they fail to compete in terms of speed, power and hardware.

Verizon has announced that their version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 will run on their next gen LTE network that is supposed to offers speeds twice as fast from what their current network offers. Verizon’s new LTE network will be available to compatible phones through a software upgrade to activate the connection to the AWS frequency. Verizon plans to start rolling out the service in major cities such as New York within the next few months.
It will be interesting to see if Verizon will also get the Galaxy S4 Active and the Galaxy S4 Mini. Not sure if they will be compatible with their new LTE service but if it is only a matter of upgrading software then I can see no issues preventing them from offering it to the other S4 variants. Only time will tell.
If you are interested in getting the Samsung Galaxy S4 through Verizon they are currently selling the device for $199.99 on a new two-year contract. Verizon is already known for being one of the best if not the best service provider in the United States. Although they are very expensive, their service is unmatched when it comes to reliability and coverage. You get what you pay for they always say. Anyone here interested in Verizon’s new LTE service? Their new service is poised to make the S4 a very, very fast device.
