Samsung Galaxy S3 Processor Query
Hi Every1 !
Want to inquire about the the processor of Samsung Galaxy S3. It is mentioned everywhere that the processor is Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9. I am using several CPU benchmark applications from android store to confirm this.
The AnTuTu Benchmark v2.8.2 application is showing the following:
Phone Model: GT-I9300
CPU Hardware: SMDK4x12
CPU model: Dual-Core ARMv7 Processor (VFPv3, NEON)
GPU vendor: ARM
GPU renderer:Mali-400 MP
Some other benchmark applications are also showing me Dual-Core processor instead of Quad-core processor. Cant seem to understand the issue. RAM is 1 GB so this cannot be the LTE version of S3 as LTE version (dual-core) comes with 2 GB of RAM. Can any one help me on this.
Thanks

The Japanese version comes with Dual-Core processor and 2GB RAM.
Rest of the world, Quad Core processor and 1GB RAM.

the one I got has 1 GB RAM as well and is probably the quad-core one. I guess the application is not showing me the right results. Can some one please download the free AnTuTu Benchmark v2.8.2 application from android market and share the results. That way it will be clear. Thanks

CPU frequency: 200.0 ~ 1400.0MHz

Thank You desblaze. Your results are exactly similar to mine except the CPU model type.
CPU model: Dual-Core ARMv7 Processor (VFPv3, NEON)
CPU model: Qyad-Core ARMv7 Processor (VFPv3, NEON)
This is very strange. I dont think there is a Dual-Core version of Galaxy S3 with 1 GB RAM. Maybe the application is not showing me the right results. Cant be sure.

thanks! I have come to a conclusion that AnTuTu Benchmark application is not 100 % accurate/reliable. The other day it was showing me triple core processor! The app needs fixing! Thanks everyone for your help.

I'm curious about you 'Jaidon'
You seem to post the same things on different forums for different models of mobile phones.
Search Results - HTC One Forum - HTC One Series Phone Forum & Community
Search Results - Windows Phone Forum - Windows Phone Reviews
e.g.
The Nokia Lumia 710 is best windows phone. It's net price in India is Rs 13,899 and T-mobile Nokia Lumia 710 only $269 at walmart. It has an outstanding features. It has much better than the another...
a few days later you change your mind and post:
The Nokia Lumia 900 is best and newest windows phone.....
Then you post
HTC HD7 is one of the best windows phone. It was release in October 2011. .....
followed shortly by
The HTC One is the best android smartphone supports so many android applications.....
Then on this forum you regularly post
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of the best smartphone which runs on android V4.0 OS.....
But wait you also state
I am currently using the Nokia Lumia 800 phone and want to download viber ......
On one forum you also talk about how the Nokia costs x number of rupees and dollars yet your location is listed here and on the other forums as UK.
So do you really own the S3, the HTC One and a Nokia and a HTC HD7 and the HTC One X and the Nokia 900, 800, 700
Your knowledge of phones doesn't just stop with the handsets.
You're also an expert on bluetooth headsets recommending
the HTC BH M300 Bluetooth Headset on 20th August just 4 days after you recommended the HTC BH M500 Bluetooth Headset.
You also appear to have lots of different cases and screen protectors all being used on your 'devices' simultaneously.
Finally you're an authority on signal boosters.
Your signature on this forum states o2 mobile signal booster is important signal
on the HTC and Windows Mobile forums you think the same about the vodafone booster
Only thing consistent in your profile is that 'you like movies'. I'm surprised you can fit in watching movies with all the posting you do on various forums.
You've been banned on at least one forum.
Oh and a quick trace of your IP address show you as having posted your messages from Pune in India.
I'm thinking Jaidon may not be real. I'm thinking he may be a bot.Last edited by iradiate; 09-03-2012 at 01:50 PM.

Hi,
I agree with above poster. I've seen these "VERY GENERIC" answers on other android forums also.
Never answers anything, just posts some trivial generic remarks from the product boxes!!!!!
Ban Him,
Ken
