Samsung s3 s-calendar not syncing to Google calendar
Please help. I have a verizon s3 and I cannot get it to sync with my Google calendar. On my phone I can see all of my meetings, but anything I add on my phone does not show up on my computer.

I have the exact same problem. I loved this feature on my Droid X. Now it's gone. I've researched it extensively, tried many things, but it won't work. I suspect it's because Samsung wants you to use their S Planner.
If anyone figures this out PLEASE let me know!!

I have the same problem on my new Verizon Galaxy S3. Went to Calendar Settings Mobile and enabled my phone (using #) and still can't sync. When I start/boot, the message 'There are no Calendars selected' flashes but I can't select the Calendar.
On the phone, went to Auto Sync Accounts, Contacts, Drive, Gmail, etc. sync but not Calendar. The sync icon with a Red ! appears next to Calendar. An error message, 'Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.' appears (for the past two days!) near the bootm. Please help. Thank you.

Haven't had this problem; in fact, syncing the calendar to my Google calendar was one of the first things I did when I got my phone.
Open S Planner, press the Menu button, click Settings. Scroll down to where it says "Calendars" (under Show week number), and press it. You should have a list of calendars under your GMail e-mail address, assuming you've logged into it with your phone.---------------------------------

I figured it out.
When you add an event, I was leaving the first box set to "My Calendar." It needs to be changed to your gmail account. Just click it, it will drop down, then select your account.
It had nothing to do with S planner.
Hope this helps!

When you are creating an event just make sure you are using "your" calendar.
Works just fine now.

That's all very well but the problem I've found is as above, when your in S planner and adding a event the default calendar was Samsung Calendar. If I click the right arrow next to calendar I can change to my gmail calendar and it syncs fine. I put a heap of appointments in without changing which calendar they went into and then had to re-do them.
My gripe is that every time I enter a new event I have to change to the right calendar for it to sync. The only work around seems to be to remove un wanted calendars in the 'settings, accounts and sync, select, click remove account'.
This is my first smart phone so it's a big learning curve for me, fun though! Any comments on the above would be greatly appreciated.

That's an odd situation. I have three calendars on Google (Personal, business, events), and Personal is defaulted to. I went to add a new event, and Personal was still the default option, which then synced just fine afterwards. I even reset the phone to clear it, see if it went back to a default Samsung one, and nothing.
Hopefully you'll find a solution soon, and not a workaround.---------------------------------

It does seem ok now, I have re installed Samsung calendar and now when I hit 'add event' and hit calendar and select my gmail account it stays there next time I add a event. Have even powered down the phone and it still remains as the first selection. Not sure what I was doing wrong before!

At the top of your calendar click "Calendars" in there uncheck my calendar and sync to the gmail account you want.
