Need some help to remove the Facebook contacts from my phone/messaging contacts list

Hi all, I'm new so hi there. I got my new Samsung Galaxy S3 on Saturday and all of a sudden all of my facebook contacts have appeared on my phone and messaging contacts list. Please does anybody know how I can remove them?

With every single phone I've bought in the past its had a manual the size of war and peace and yet with the Galaxy there's nothing but a quick starter guide. I am sooooooo stuck. Would be grateful for some help

Go to Contact > Menu > Accounts > Select Facebook > Remove account or un-check Sync Contacts.

twinkle dont do that

go to contact -> option/Menu button -> scroll down "Contact to Display"

select what ever option you want to use.

this way you can link your Facebook contact with other contact on the phone.

i use Gmail as my contact manager so this is the only option i look at all the rest are hidden using the above
