'insert SIM card to access network services' Please someone help me!
My new Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) was working great since I got it last week but just last night it suddenly looked like it had lost signal with a 'circle and a line through' icon on the notification bar next to the battery icon. So I just switched it on and off but no change.
I contacted my network, Telstra, and they said the SIM card should be working fine, I tested it in other phones and it is. I then left it over night to see if it would miraculously fix but no.
When I go to 'mobile networks' in settings the message 'insert SIM card to access network services' is displayed. Another thing I noticed is that under Settings > About Phone > Status many things now come up as "Unknown".
I have since re-set to factory settings and re-booted (sim in & out). I have only downloaded apps from the google play store and haven't fiddled with the software or the phone at all since am not a whiz at phones and just know the basics.
I am about to try throwing it against a brick wall to see if that helps but before I do can someone here please help me!
Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.
