No notification sounds

Hi. I'm probably doing something stupid wrong but there's no sound or vibrate when I receive a message or email. It says a tone is set and the volume is up. The ringtone works when somebody calls, but no message sounds.

Have you checked your call settings? check to see if you have your phone on silent? do you have airplane mode on?

I think it has to do with the settings of your phone or maybe you did not set up your message tone properly, you should try counter checking it to find out if you had set it well.

hi not sure if you have it sorted... sure the email might work the same but i had same prob with my incoming message... go to your messages inbox when ur in that screen tap the menu (bottom left) and choose settings from the menu (scroll down if you dont see settings).. scroll all the way down in settings and make sure the make sound option is ticked and also just underneath which tone you want it to have! this will setup your message tone.... then also check when you slide your finger from top of the screen downward there is another window that opens with icons on the top.... if you scroll trough them from left to right u have to make sure the Notification icon is green.. if its off you wont get any notifications or any sounds for messages etc... hope it helps!

Check whether your ringing volume settings is on its higher volume or not?If not then change your settings otherwise go to the service center to fix the problem

Thanks so much, it was the second part that applied - I must have turned off notifications at the top when scrolling through. It was driving me crazy. glad I stumbled on here.
